We help women live better lives
Empowering women from urban marginalised communities to attain reproductive and allied health goals
Programs
Our programs are tailored to empower women at every stage of life. From adolescent education to support for single women, we offer a range of initiatives designed to improve reproductive health and overall well-being.
Collectivising Women and Girls
We maintain individual contacts with girls from the ages of 14 to 18 years, conduct galli surveys, and document the details of pregnant and single women that fall in this age group.
Adolescent Girls Program
We help girls who have dropped out of school resume their schooling, and introduce more girls to education and build awareness about their rights. Along with the alumni of SRCC under their Dream Library Project, we run a women’s library.
Women’s Health Program
We collect data on women’s experience with government-led health services, especially maternal health schemes & reproductive health services. We map the home-based work women are engaged in, documenting the unorganised workforce.
Single women (Ekal Mahila)
Under Ekal Mahila, we meet single women living in urban marginalised communities and map them. We converse with them and understand the challenges they face as single women in the society.
Who We Are
SEHER is a Delhi-based women-led collective that aids women from urban marginalised communities in achieving reproductive health goals. Menstrual care, safe motherhood, use of contraceptives, access to safe abortion, and overall health are our focus areas. Through programs tailored for girls and women of different ages, we aid them in leading healthy, fulfilling lives
